Rainy Days

There are people who live their whole lives being one eyed. We call them individuals. That's why we love them. How does that saying go.. if you love somebody set them free if they don't come back that don't matter to me. I can send you a card and you may feel happy for a while but we all live in long distance relationships. Just add stress and see. No person truly knows another for if they did that would destroy the other person. The act of communication merely reinforces the lack of connectedness and the distance between people. Agendas, anxieties, power and pretence. We are like blunt instruments extracting pollen from a garden of competing flora. If you are hurting, lonely, afraid call me but only God can make sense of it. It is our burdens that stop us breathing. Our time and energies are made impotent by our shortcomings and choices until our vulnerabilities leave us facing the maw of death. Well I say kiss that maw, stick your tongue right in there and swirl it around and then lean back and say, 'Salty - I wasn't expecting that!"
